The ancient seven wonders of the world are taking their retirement and the world is voting for the “NEW 7 Wonders of the World”.
There are 21 new contenders competing for a place in history, but only seven will get crowned.
The contenders are:

The Great Wall of China (220 B.C and 1368 - 1644 A.D.) China
Kiyomizu Temple (749 - 1855) Kyoto, Japan

I think; even if the Wonders of the worlds are for people of the world itself,
it shouldn't be elected by popularity. People tend to do misjudgements and be biast.
So it should be elected by a board of electors from experts from all over the world.
Hope that this wouldn't be another American Idol or Sirasa Super Star.
There are many man made marvels in the world and you can’t just limit it to 7 and say they are more wondrous than the rest. I guess this is more like a sentimental / traditional thing I guess.
Even if we let experts decide, some people can make a fuss saying that the experts were biased. Knowing humans, this will be case. Take the 2012 Olympic Logo, experts designed it and the people hate it…This way people can’t say anything since they voted for it.
